OBERON KENNELS

About the Border Collie

Borders are absolutely amazing animals that make great pets, companions, and workers. They are extremely intelligent, athletic, loyal, energetic, bound by duty, etc. etc.

They will absolutely thrive in an environment  in which they know what is expected and required of them, are stimulated mentally and physically, and are able to bond and spend much time with their owners.

They are not a "couch potato dog" however, and they will not do well if left tied or kennelled all day on their own.

Borders as a rule are very hardy healthy dogs, with few known genetic health defects. They generally live long (15 years), productive and useful lives.

Please follow the links below (more to come), and do not hesitate to ask us any questions you might have about Borders, or any of our dogs.
